No. 23 WVU Tech's Nehnevaj tabbed RSC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- No. 23-ranked WVU Tech had junior Daniel Nehnevaj lead the Golden Bears to a high finish this past week and was named River States Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Oct. 15-21. It is the third time this year he's won the weekly honor.
A native of Vancouver, Wash., Nehnevaj placed ninth overall of 281 runners at the Sand Shark Invitational in South Carolina with a time of 25:40 in the 8K. That powered WVU Tech to third place of 41 teams in attendance. Many of the top NAIA teams from the southeast were there competing.
WVU Tech's next meet is the RSC Championship Nov. 3 in Owensboro, Ky., hosted by Brescia (Ky.) University.
