(RV) WVU Tech's Rodriguez named RSC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- (RV) WVU Tech forward Jaime Rodriguez scored three goals and seven points in two games last week to earn River States Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 22-28.
The freshman from Madrid, Spain, put in two goals and also picked up an assist in a 4-0 win over Asbury. Before that, he had scored a goal in a 4-0 win over Midway that put the game away at 3-0 early in the second half.
WVU Tech is 13-1-4 overall and 7-1-1 RSC at the end of the regular season. The Golden Bears are the No. 2 seed in the RSC Men's Soccer Championship and have a bye into the semifinals on Nov. 7. They await the winner of No. 3 Point Park and No. 6 Brescia.
