IU Southeast's Burman named RSC Volleyball Defender of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU Southeast libero Kenna Burman had a big week in the back row to claim River States Conference Volleyball Defender of the Week honors for Oct. 22-28.
Burman, a sophomore from Arcadia, Ind., totaled 55 digs in three matches and averaged 5.50 digs per set in what was a 3-0 week for the Grenadiers. She also totaled 16 assists, served at a percentage of .960 and had a reception percentage of .926 for the week.
IU Southeast went 2-0 RSC with a 3-0 win at Carlow and a 3-2 win at Point Park. Burn had 13 digs in two sets at Carlow and put up a week-high 30 digs, five assists and two aces at Point Park. She started out with 12 digs and eight assists in a win over Spalding.
IU Southeast (23-6, 9-4 RSC) visits Brescia on Tuesday for its next match.
