Rio Grande's Davis nets RSC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- University of Rio Grande (Ohio) forward Payten Davis scored 13 points in two games to net River States Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 1-7.
Davis, a sophomore from Chillicothe, Ohio, put in six goals and one assist in two games last week to win the award. She started off with two goals and an assist to factor in all three goals in a 4-3 (OT) loss to Cincinnati Christian. She followed that up with four goals in an 8-0 win over Brescia (Ky.).
Rio Grande is 4-7-1 overall, 2-3 RSC and plays WVU Tech at home for its next game on Thursday.
