No. 1 Rio Grande hosting Lawrence Tech (Mich.) in NAIA Men's Soccer Opening Round

RIO GRANDE, Ohio - No. 1-ranked University of Rio Grande (Ohio) will host Lawrence Technological University in the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round on Saturday, Nov. 17 with a noon kickoff at Evan E. Davis Field. The opening round begins the 60th Annual NAIA men's soccer national tournament.
The RedStorm (18-0) is coming off a 4-3 overtime win against WVU Tech in last Saturday's River States Conference Championship final. Head coach Scott Morrissey's squad will be the tourney's No. 4 seed in the 31-team national tournament.
Lawrence Tech (14-6-1) earned its tournament berth by posting a 3-0 upset win over Indiana Tech in the championship game of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament.
Saturday's meeting will be the first between Rio and the unranked Blue Devils, with the winner advancing to the tourney's second round at the Orange Country Great Park Soccer Stadium in Irvine, Calif.
The Rio-Lawrence Tech winner will face the survivor of Saturday's match between No. 13 seed Southern Oregon and UC-Merced on Monday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. EST.
