IU Kokomo hosting (RV) St. Xavier (Ill.) for NAIA Volleyball Opening Round
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- River States Conference champion IU Kokomo has earned the right to host an NAIA Volleyball National Championship Opening Round match, and the Cougars will welcome (RV) St. Xavier (Ill.) on Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.
IU Kokomo, with a record of 34-4 overall, 16-0 RSC and 25 consecutive victories, has played its way to hosting one of the 12 opening round matches around the country. The winners advance to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa. The Cougars are making their fourth-straight NAIA appearance, and they are doing so as RSC regular season and tournament champions.
St. Xavier is making its fifth trip to the NAIA tournament and comes in at 27-9 overall, 17-1 CCAC. The Cougars won the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament and regular-season titles.
