No. 13 WVU Tech's Boone claims RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- No. 13-ranked WVU Tech had senior guard Elisha Boone claim River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance Nov. 12-18.
A 6-4 product of Queens, N.Y., Boone averaged 15.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game to power the Golden Bears to a 3-0 week. He shot 53 percent (17 for 32) from the floor as WVU Tech improved to 6-1 on the season.
Boone began with 24 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in a victory over St. Francis (Ind.). He then collected 12 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists in a win over Washington Adventist. Boone concluded with nine points, five rebounds and 4-for-6 shooting in just 18 minutes versus Michigan-Dearborn.
WVU Tech will play (RV) Keiser (Fla.) and (RV) Rochester (Mich.) at the NAIA Division II Showcase Nov. 24-25 in Kingsport, Tenn.
