IU East's Fletes gains RSC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU East defender Matthew Fletes led the defensive charge in the Red Wolves' playoff victory to gain River States Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
The Lancaster, Calif., native was a defensive key for IU East's 3-1 win over Asbury (Ky.) in the RSC Men's Soccer Championship quarterfinals. He has also been a big part of the Red Wolves current win streak of seven games.
IU East is 10-4 overall, 5-4 RSC and plays at No. 1-ranked Rio Grande (Ohio) in the semifinals on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
