Carlow's Flory claims RSC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Carlow (Pa.) University defender Rachel Flory led the playoff shutout for the Celtics to claim River States Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
The junior defender from Huntington Beach, Calif., led the back-line effort in Carlow's 1-0 win over Ohio Christian in the RSC Women's Soccer Championship quarterfinals this past Saturday. The Celtics allowed just three shots in the victory.
That effort advanced Carlow to the semifinals to play at Asbury (Ky.) on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
