IU Kokomo's Baker notches another RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
KOKOMO, Ind. -- IU Kokomo middle hitter Nyssa Baker capped off the regular season with her fifth River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week award. She did so for her play from Oct. 29-Nov. 4.
Baker, a sophomore from Ft. Wayne, Ind., hit .595 with 27 kills and seven blocks in three matches on the week, all victories for the Cougars. She also added five digs and four aces on the week.
Baker's big match was 14 kills and zero errors in a 3-0 win over IU East. She also had six kills in seven attempts versus Cincinnati Christian and seven kills and no errors in 14 attempts versus Ohio Christian.
That lifted IU Kokomo's win streak to 22 matches in a row. The Cougars are 31-4 overall, 16-0 RSC and will host the RSC Volleyball Championship this weekend Nov. 9-10.
