No. 18 Rio Grande has Carter claim RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- No. 18 University of Rio Grande (Ohio) had senior Jaida Carter claim River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 3-9 for her huge game last weekend.
A 5-6 guard from New Philadelphia, Ohio, Carter keyed a rally past Wilberforce (Ohio) for a 72-69 win. In that game, she scored 24 points, pulled down 16 rebounds and grabbed five steals. She had 20 points and 13 rebounds in the second half and made 12 of 14 free throws in the game.
Rio Grande is 9-2 overall, 1-1 RSC and will host Point Park (Pa.) on Saturday.
