Point Park's Shields claims RSC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week/Year

TIFFIN, Ohio -- Point Park University runner Anna Shields won four individual events and one relay at the RSC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday to claim honors as RSC Outstanding Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. For that performance, she is also the RSC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Feb. 5-11.

Shields won the 600 meters, 1,000 meters, mile and 3,000 meters at the conference indoor meet. She was also a part of the winning 4x400 relay for the Pioneers. During that performance, she also registered the current No. 1 time in the NAIA in the 600.

Point Park won the meet with over 200 points in the team standings with Shields a part of 50 points. Next up for the Pioneers is the Kent State Tune-up Feb. 17.
