RSC Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team recognizes 30 awardees
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- The 2017-18 River States Conference Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team recognizes 30 awardees for this season. This year's honorees come from 12 different schools.
The RSC Scholar-Athlete Team is for student-athletes who have a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher, participate in an RSC sport and are nominated by their schools. IU East, the No. 1-ranked team in the nation, led the RSC this year with five honorees on the team. Asbury (Ky.) University and University of Rio Grande (Ohio) tied for second with four each.
The NAIA has a similar awards program, the NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athlete award, which is for juniors and seniors with a 3.50+ GPA. The following are the conference winners for 2017-18.
