Midway's Aoki earns RSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week award
NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- Midway (Ky.) University's Brandon Aoki earned River States Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 26-March 4 after picking up a victory to begin conference play.
A left hander from Camarillo, Calif., Aoki threw five shutout innings in a 10-0 win over Asbury University last Friday. He limited the Eagles to just one hit, struck out six and walked two. Asbury hit only .063 for the game, which ended after seven innings due to the mercy rule.
Midway is 7-10 overall, 3-0 RSC and will host Kentucky Christian on March 6.
