RSC Men's T&F athletes bring home NAIA All-American honors from national meet
PITTSBURG, Kan. -- River States Conference men's track and field brought home some NAIA All-American honors from the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships this past weekend in Pittsburg, Kan.
WVU Tech had a conference-high two NAIA All-Americans with race walkers Luke Jobson placing second and Anthony Gruttadauro placing third in the 3,000m race walk. Jobson earned his fourth All-American honor with a time of 12:27, and Gruttadauro was next at 12:36.
Point Park's Jryi Davis registered another NAIA All-American honor for the conference by placing eighth in the triple jump. His leap of 14.64 meters gave him his third All-American honor of his career.
The RSC had a couple of athletes come very close to NAIA All-American status (top eight) with Indiana East's Seth Reynolds placing ninth in the 60-meter hurdles and WVU Tech's Daniel Lynch placing ninth in the shot put. Rio Grande's Nikola Andjelic was seeded third in the heptathlon, but he had to pull out of the competition due to injury.
