Point Park's Morris wins RSC Men's Field Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park University jumper Michael Morris set a school record and had two Top-10 finishes this past week to win River States Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for April 2-8.
A junior from Allentown, N.J., Morris placed second in the high jump at the Mt. Union Invitational with a school-record height of 1.99 meters. It furthered his own school record and was just three centimeters shy of the NAIA national standard of 2.02 meters. Morris was sixth in the long jump with a distance of 5.98 meters.
Point Park's next competitions come this weekend at the Westminster Invitational and the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic.
