Midway's Aoki claims another RSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolade
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- For the second time this year, Midway (Ky.) University junior left-hander Brandon Aoki is the River States Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, this after shutting out No. 14 Point Park the week of April 9-15.
Aoki, from Camarillo, Calif., pitched all 9.0 innings of a 8-3 win over Point Park to send the Eagles on their way to a series victory. He did not allow an earned run and gave up just four hits in the complete game. Aoki carried a perfect game into the fifth inning and a no-hitter and a shutout into the sixth.
Midway went on to win the series two games to one and improved to 21-18 overall, 13-7 RSC. The Eagles are scheduled to play Shawnee State on April 17.
