Midway's Luttor powers way to RSC Baseball Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University first baseman Graeham Luttor powered the Eagles to three wins over NAIA Top 25 teams and a series win over Point Park to receive River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for April 9-15.

Luttor, a freshman from Toronto, Canada, batted .533 and slugged .867 in four games last week. That included a non-conference win at No. 20 Campbellsville and a series win at No. 14 Point Park in RSC play.

Luttor hit 7 for 11 with a homer, a double and five RBIs at Point Park. He was 8 for 15 on the week with five runs, two doubles, a home run, seven RBIs and four walks. That started off with a double, two runs and two RBIs in the 7-3 win at Campbellsville.

He homered, doubled and drove in two during the series-opening win at Point Park. Luttor then drove in two big runs in Game 2 at Point Park for the series victory and capped off the series with another two hits and an RBI in the finale.

Midway is 21-18 overall, 13-7 RSC and is scheduled to play at Shawnee State on April 17.
