CCU's Rouse wins RSC Softball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Cincinnati Christian University infielder Alexis Rouse hit .474 in six games last week to claim River States Conference Softball Player of the Week for April 16-22.
A senior from Jordan-Elbridge, N.Y., Rouse had nine hits in 19 at bats to lead CCU to a record of 4-2 on the week. The Eagles won three of four RSC games with Rouse hitting three homers and driving in nine runs. She also scored seven times, doubled twice and drew three walks.
She had four multi-hit games including going 2 for 3 with two homers in a 13-3 win over Midway and going 3 for 3 with a homer and four RBIs in a 9-7 win over Midway. She also had three hits in the doubleheader split with Asbury.
CCU is 17-16 overall, 8-8 RSC and plays at WVU Tech on April 28.
