IU Southeast's Sharp claims RSC Softball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU Southeast catcher Ashtyn Sharp hit .625 for the week to claim River States Conference Softball Player of the Week for March 26-April 2.
Sharp, a freshman from Evansville, Ind., was 5 for 8 with four runs and three RBIs in two games last week. That came during a doubleheader sweep of Brescia in RSC play. Sharp was 3 for 4 with two runs and three RBIs in a 14-6 victory and then 2 for 4 with two more runs in an 8-0 win.
IU Southeast is 12-10 overall and 8-2 RSC. The Grenadiers travel to Spalding for their next games April 4.
