Midway's Lindsey wins RSC Baseball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University catcher Koy Lindsey collected seven hits and seven RBIs in three games last week to win River States Conference Baseball Player of the Week for April 23-29.
Lindsey's big week came during the three-game series versus (RV) IU Southeast, which concluded the regular season. Lindsey batted 7 for 13 for a .538 average on the weekend. He doubled twice, homered, scored twice and drove in seven runs. Lindsey racked up a .923 slugging percentage in the three games.
A huge game of 5 for 5 with a homer and six RBIs got the series started in a 10-9 victory. Lindsey also doubled twice and scored two runs in that game. Lindsey hit safely in each game.
Up next is the RSC Baseball Tournament May 3-6 at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio.
