IU East's Amidon notches RSC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU East freshman defender Kayla Amidon was a key part of the Red Wolves' success this past week and earned River States Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 3-9.
The Fort Wayne, Ind., native helped IU East to a 1-1 (2OT) draw versus Goshen (Ind.), a game in which the Red Wolves possessed the ball very well for a 30-8 advantage in shots.
She also keyed the defense in a narrow loss to (RV) Indiana Wesleyan, 2-1. IU East (3-1-1) plays its next game Sept. 12 at Cincinnati-Clermont.
