WVU Tech's Bologna picks up RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech middle hitter Carolina Bologna had an impressive week at the net to pick up River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Sept. 3-9.
The 5-8 junior from Vasto, Italy, posted 61 total kills in five matches as the Golden Bears went 5-0 as a team. She put together a robust attacking percentage of .521 and also averaged 3.21 kills per set. Bologna also added 15 total digs and 13 total blocks for the week.
The highlight of the week was 20 kills, five blocks and four digs in a 3-2 win over Concord. She posted double digits in kills four times including 15 versus Union (Ky.), a 3-1 victory. She put up 11 kills each in victories over UVA-Wise and Lees-McRae.
WVU Tech (11-3) is back in action this week at the St. Mary of the Woods Classic.
