MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU Kokomo sophomore Nyssa Baker had a big match in the conference opener to earn River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Sept. 10-16, her second weekly award of the year.

Baker, from Fort Wayne, Ind., pounded down 17 kills and hit .615 in a 3-0, RSC victory over Brescia (Ky.) this past Saturday. It was the only match of the week for the Cougars, and it got them off to a 1-0 start to RSC play. Baker also had two blocks and had only one attack error in the win.

IU Kokomo is 10-4 overall and visits Cincinnati Christian for an RSC matchup Tuesday night.
