Point Park's Stephens gets another RSC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park University junior Xavier Stephens picked up his second River States Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award when he did so for Sept. 16-23.
Stephens, from Uniontown, Pa., led the Pioneers at the Lock Haven Invitational with a time of 26:49 at the 8,000-meter race. That put him in 36th place out of 222 runners at the NCAA Division II event. Stephens' performance led Point Park to a top-10 finish in 10th place out of 17 teams.
Stephens also won the award for the first week of the season at the OCU meet. Point Park will compete Saturday at the Greater Louisville Classic.
