MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park University senior Anna Shields made it three River States Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week awards in three starts, this time for Sept. 16-23.

The Torrington, Conn., native earned her latest honor by winning first place at the Lock Haven Invitational with a time of 20:37 in the 6,000-meter race. That was a school record for a 6K, and she was at 17:02 at the 5K-mark of the race. Shields won the race by 22 seconds, which came ahead of several runners from team champ WVU.

Shields' effort led the Pioneers to third place of 17 teams. Point Park competes this Saturday at the Greater Louisville Classic.
