Point Park representing RSC in at No. 16 in NAIA Women's XC Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The River States Conference is represented in the NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Poll with Point Park (Pa.) University ranked No. 16 in the latest poll. That is one spot up from the preseason poll that had the Pioneers at No. 17 in the country.

Point Park is coming off a strong showing in its last competition with a third-place finish at the Lock Haven Invitational, an NCAA Division II event. The 6K race had NAIA All-American Anna Shields win first place by 22 seconds over several NCAA Division I runners with a time of 20:37. The Pioneers had their top five all come in under 23:35.

The next competition for Point Park as well as many in the conference will be at the Greater Louisville Classic Sept. 29 in Louisville, Ky. Many conference opponents will go head to head throughout the day.
