WVU Tech's Pateli recognized as RSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech junior Konstantina Pateli led the Golden Bears to an impressive week and thus was recognized as the River States Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for Aug. 27-Sept. 2.
Pateli, from Athens, Greece, tallied 165 assists for an average of 9.17 assists per set. WVU Tech won four out of five matches during that stretch to improve to 6-3 on the year. Pateli also chipped in an attack percentage of .429 with 16 total kills and 54 total digs for an average of 3.00 per set. Her week also included four service aces and 11 blocks.
Pateli had three double-doubles on the week with 40 assists and 11 digs versus Bluefield (Va.), 32 assists and 19 digs versus Earlham and 29 assists and 11 digs versus Franciscan. She had a week-high of 43 assists and four blocks versus Marietta.
WVU Tech is at Union (Ky.) for its next match Sept. 4.
