Jill Enix from Midway (Ky.) wins #RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University freshman Jill Enix averaged 18.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in three games last week to win River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 7-13.
A 5-11 forward from Pineville, Ky., Enix led the Eagles to a 2-1 record on the week, all of which was in RSC play. She totaled 54 points and 27 rebounds and averaged 3.7 assists per game. She shot 49 percent from the field (22 for 45).
Enix had a huge game of 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a double-overtime win over Asbury (Ky.). She also had 14 points and eight rebounds in a win over IU Southeast and a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to Alice Lloyd (Ky.).
Midway is 7-8 overall, 3-5 RSC and will host Kentucky Christian on Tuesday.
