Beirana, Scholfield share RSC Men's Golfer of the Week for IU East
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Finishing with the exact same score and same placement at the Spring Arbor (Classic), IU East's Rafael Beirana and Kole Schofield share the River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week honors for Sept. 23-29.
Beirana, a junior from Las Hayas, Mexico, and Schofield, a senior from New Castle, Ind., both shot tournament totals of 225 in the 54-hole event. That put them in a tie for 10th place, leading the Red Wolves to sixth place of 15 schools.
Beirana fired rounds of 78-73-74. Scholefield's scorecard had 73-73-79. They were 10 shots off the lead after 54 holes. IU East will be at the RSC Men's Golf Fall Preview Oct. 7-8 at Belterra Golf Course.
