Woods wins RSC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for (RV) WVU Tech
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Malachi Woods led (RV) WVU Tech at the Hornet Harrier hosted by Shenandoah (Va.) University and thus was named River States Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Sept. 23-29.
Woods, a freshman from Beckley, W.Va., ran the 6,000-meter race in 20 minutes, 51 seconds for 39th place out of 193 runners. The Golden Bears did not have a team score, but Woods led their individual representation.
WVU Tech, which is "receiving votes" in the NAIA Top 25 Poll, will be at the Royal Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens (N.C.) University on Oct. 11.
