Hawgood nabs another RSC Volleyball Defender of the Week honor for WVU Tech
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech libero Sawyer Hawgood picked up River States Conference Volleyball Defender of the Week for her play Sept. 23-29, the second weekly honor of the year for the junior from Kamloops, British Columbia.
Hawgood totaled 62 digs in two conference matches over the weekend with an average of 8.86 digs per set. She also served at 100 percent accuracy with no errors in 18 attempts and passed at a .974 percentage. Hawgood started out with 28 digs in a 3-1 loss to Point Park. She then had 34 digs in just three sets in a win over Carlow.
WVU Tech is 12-6 overall, 1-1 RSC and will host Rio Grande (Ohio) on Tuesday.
