Boyd named RSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for WVU Tech
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech sophomore Kaeley Boyd had a high finish at the Shenandoah (Va.) University Hornet Harrier to earn River States Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Sept. 23-29.
The native of Alderson, W.Va., placed 17th out of 143 runners with a time of 20 minutes, 55 seconds in the 5,000-meter race. That effort led the Golden Bears to fourth place of 17 teams in the event that was mainly made up of NCAA Division II schools.
WVU Tech's next meet is Oct. 11 at the Royal Challenge hosted by Queens (N.C.) University.
