Stephens selected for RSC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week from Point Park (Pa.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University senior Xavier Stephens posted another Top 10 to earn River States Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Oct. 7-13. It is the second weekly award this year for Stephens, who was ninth of 110 runners at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
Racing at the same course of the RSC Championships Nov. 9, Stephens had a time of 26 minutes, 42 seconds in the 8,000-meter course. That led the Pioneers to fifth place of 12 teams in the standings. Stephens put together a pace of 5:22 per mile.
Point Park's next race is Oct. 26 at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas (Mich.) College.
