Tullar takes RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Midway (Ky.)
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University outside hitter Alysha Tullar had a pair of 25-kill performances in conference play to earn River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Oct. 14-20.
A junior from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Tullar had 25 kills in a 3-1 win over IU East and then 25 more kills in a sweep of Ohio Christian the next day. Tullar averaged 6.67 kills and hit .304 on the week. She also added 2.55 digs per set.
The win over IU East included a double-double from Tullar with 16 digs. She had four digs versus Ohio Christian. The week started out with 19 kills, eight digs and three aces in a 3-1 loss to Berea. She leads the NAIA with 4.88 kills per set.
Midway is 11-11 overall, 4-5 RSC and visits Oakland City on Tuesday for its next match.
