Jones picked for RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week from Brescia (Ky.)
MIDDLELTOWN, Ohio -- Brescia (Ky.) University outside hitter Natalie Jones compiled 55 kills in three RSC wins last week to earn River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Oct. 28-Nov. 4.
Jones, a senior from Owensboro, Ky., averaged 4.58 kills per set to lead the Bearcats to a 3-0 RSC showing on the week. She also averaged 3.67 digs per set and posted two double-doubles of kills and digs.
She started out with a career-high 31 kills, 13 digs and an ace in a 3-2 win at IU Southeast. She then had 15 kills, 16 digs and two aces in a four-set victory over IU Kokomo. The week concluded with nine kills and 15 digs in a sweep of CCU.
Brescia moved into first place in the RSC West Division with the big week and stands at 24-6 overall, 13-1 RSC. The Bearcats are at Midway (Ky.) and Asbury (Ky.) this weekend.
