(RV) IU Southeast's Jamie Johnson repeats as RSC MBB Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- (RV) IU Southeast guard Jamie Johnson averaged 25.5 points, 10.0 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game and also registered a triple-double to claim River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 4-10, his second week in a row winning the award.

A 6-0 senior from Louisville, Ky., Johnson put up 51 points, 20 assists and 12 rebounds in two games to claim the weekly honor once again. He shot 47 percent (16 for 34) from the field, 43 percent (6 for 14) from long range and made 13 of 19 foul shots.

Johnson's biggest game was 21 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in a win at Midway (Ky.) on Saturday. He also came through with 30 points and nine assists in a victory over Brescia (Ky.) earlier in the week.

IU Southeast is "receiving votes" toward the NAIA Division II Top 25 Poll and is 19-8 overall, 12-4 RSC. The Grenadiers have an RSC West first-place showdown at No. 24 IU Kokomo on Tuesday.
