Point Park's Morris named RSC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year / Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park University's Michael Morris scored 20.0 points at the River States Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship last Friday on his way to being named RSC Men's Field Athlete of the Year. He was also chosen as the RSC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for Feb. 4-10 as the top performer in the conference during that time.
Morris, a senior from Allentown, N.J., scored in all three jumps for a total of 17 points in the field. He was second in the high jump and also third in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump. Morris also helped the Pioneers to the team title with three points for sixth place in the 60-meter hurdles.
Point Park's next competition is Feb. 16 at the Kent State Tuneup.
