CCU's Rubin named RSC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Cincinnati Christian University thrower Deborah Rubin won the NCCAA national championship in the shot put to claim River States Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for Feb. 11-18.

Rubin, a freshman from Clermont, Fla., came through with a toss of 12.52 meters to win the national title in the National Christian College Athletic Association. She bested 10 other throwers and became CCU's first female to win a national championship.
