Point Park's Boyd takes home RSC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University runner Alyssa Boyd placed in the Top 10 in the 1000 meters at the Kent State Tuneup to earn River States Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Feb. 11-18.
Boyd, a sophomore from Union City, Pa., posted a personal-best time of 3 minutes, 10 seconds at Kent State to place ninth of 25 athletes. She was within six seconds of the NAIA qualifying mark of 3:04.
Point Park's next competition is the NAIA indoor national meet Feb. 28-March 2 in Brookings, S.D.
