(RV) IU Southeast gets Johnson as RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- (RV) IU Southeast had senior guard Jamie Johnson named River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 28-Feb. 3 after he averaged 23.0 points per game in two wins. It is his second weekly plaudit this season.

Johnson, a 6-0 native of Louisville, Ky., also put up 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game last week. He shot 44 percent from the floor (15 for 34) and made 5 of 13 from beyond the arc.

Johnson posted a pair 20-point games on the week. First he had 24 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in a win at Alice Lloyd (Ky.). Johnson followed that up with 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a victory over Asbury (Ky.)

IU Southeast is 16-9 overall, 9-5 RSC and hosts Brescia (Ky.) for its next game on Thursday.
