WVU Tech's Batchelor picks up RSC Softball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- WVU Tech freshman Kennedy Batchelor hit .667 in six games to pick up River States Conference Softball Player of the Week for March 11-17.
Batchelor, a shortsop from Louisa, Va., was 12 for 18 with a homer and six RBIs on the week. She hit safely in all six games and also doubled twice and walked twice. Batchelotr slugged .944 for the week as WVU Tech went 3-3 overall, 2-2 RSC.
She batted 4 for 5 with three RBIs combined in a doubleheader sweep of Asbury (Ky.). She was 2 for 5 with a double, RBI and walk in a pair of losses to Midway (Ky.) Batchelor's week started out by hitting 6 for 8 on the day with a double, homer and two RBIs in a split with Piedmont International.
WVU Tech (9-11, 2-2 RSC) will be at Cincinnati Christian and Ohio Christian this weekend March 22-23.
