IU East's Nowak cards RSC Women's Golfer of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU East senior Bre Nowak led the Red Wolves at the first tournament of the spring to earn River States Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for March 11-17.
Nowak, from Chippewa Falls, Wis., carded rounds of 83 and 80 at the Lawrence Tech Spring Break Invite played in Opelika, Ala. That put her in a team-best 15th place individually in a tournament that featured four of the eight teams being nationally ranked in the NAIA Top 25.
There were 52 total golfers in the field, and IU East placed fifth as a team. The Red Wolves will be at the Midway Invitational April 8-9 for their next event.
