Point Park's Walz captures RSC Women's Golfer of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University junior Joey Walz led the Pioneers to a team win to earn River States Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for March 18-24.
Walz, from Pittsburgh, Pa., placed second individually at the Carnegie Mellon Spring Invitational with a round of 9-over 81. That was just one shot off the medalist from CMU. That led Point Park to first place as a team with a team score of 367.
The Pioneers return to action April 3 at the Carnegie Mellon Challenge.
