Midway (Ky.)'s Flynn named RSC Softball Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University freshman Carson Flynn batted .476 in six games to earn River States Conference Softball Player of the Week for Feb. 25-March 3.
Flynn, an outfielder from Henderson, Ky., stroked 10 hits in 21 at bats with four runs, three RBIs and 3 for 3 on stolen bases. She hit safely in five of the six games and slugged .524 for the week.
Flynn started the week going 3 for 4 with two runs and an RBI in a win over Berea (Ky.). She was 2 for 2 on steals in that game. Flynn was 3 for 4 with a double in the second game of the doubleheader. Another highlight was going 3 for 7 in a doubleheader versus Cumberlands (Ky.).
Midway is 5-7 and will host Oakland City on March 12 for its next games.
