KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The NAIA Division II Men's Basketball National Championship bracket was announced on Wednesday night (Feb. 27), and it includes three teams from the River States Conference. That includes the No. 3-overall seed WVU Tech (29-4), one of four No. 1 seeds in the 32-team bracket.

The tournament begins March 6 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The 32-team championship continues through March 12. The first round is spread across two days March 6-7.

WVU Tech, fresh off its RSC Championship title, moved up to No. 3 in the country in the NAIA Division II Top 25 Poll released earlier in the evening. When the bracket was revealed, the Golden Bears claimed a top seed. They play unranked College of the Ozarks (Mo.) (22-10) in the first round on Thursday, March 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET. College of the Ozarks is the runner-up from the Association of Independent Institutions.

IU Kokomo (25-7), the RSC Championship runner-up and the RSC West Division champion, moved up three spots to No. 22 in the Top 25 Poll. The Cougars earned themselves a No. 6 seed in the tournament. They play No. 3 seed Union (Ky.) (26-6), the Appalachian Athletic Conference regular season and tournament champion and the 2016-17 NAIA Division II national champion, on Wednesday, March 6 at 9 p.m.. ET.

IU East (24-8) earned an at-large bid to the national tournament as the No. 14-ranked team in the Top 25. The Red Wolves received a No. 4 seed and will play No. 5 seed Bethel (Ind.) (21-10) in a battle of at-large bid teams. Bethel is ranked No. 20 in the country. That matchup is set for Wednesday, March 6 at 1:00 p.m. ET.

The RSC had four teams mention in the NAIA Division II Top 25 Poll on Wednesday. That included Asbury (Ky.) University (21-10) in the "receiving votes" category and No. 33 overall in the country. The Eagles were RSC semifinalists, but unfortunately the at-large bids only went as far down as the No. 23 team in the nation.
