Midway (Ky.)'s Mitchell cards RSC Men's Golfer of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Midway (Ky.) University senior Austin Mitchell had a strong tournament last week to claim River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for March 25-31.
Mitchell, from Louisville, Ky., led the Eagles at the Asbury (Ky.) Invitational placing third of 66 golfers in the tournament. That put him in a tie for third place with a two-day total of 2-over 146. Mitchell shots rounds of 72-74 at the part 72 layout.
Midway placed seventh of 12 schools as a team. The Eagles play the Phoenix Invitational starting on Monday, April 1.
