(RV) Asbury (Ky.)'s Trotman is RSC Men's Tennis Player of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- (RV) Asbury (Ky.) University senior Aquille Trotman was a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles action on his way to River States Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week from March 25-31.
Trotman, from Clermont, Barbardos, was 2-0 at No. 1 doubles and also picked up victories at No. 5 and No. 6 singles on the week. That came in RSC victories over Midway (Ky.) and Brescia (Ky.) to start Asbury off on a 2-0 conference record. The Eagles are 7-3 overall and "receiving votes" in the NAIA Top 25.
Trotman won 8-3 over both Midway and Brescia in doubles action. The singles wins were 6-1, 6-0 over Midway and by default over Brescia. He is 6-0 in singles on the year and 6-1 in doubles.
Asbury will be at Georgetown (Ky.) for its next match on Tuesday.
