Point Park (Pa.)'s Jacobs picks up RSC Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Point Park (Pa.) University freshman Daniel Jacobs extended his school record in the javelin to earn River States Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for March 25-31.
Jacobs, from Elizabeth, Pa., threw the javelin 52.80 meters to place first of 27 throwers at the Bethany (W.Va.) Invitational. That bested his school record from his college debut the week before and upped the RSC-leading distance on the year.
Point Park's next meet is the Slippery Rock Invitational on Saturday.
