Fensler snags RSC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for IU Southeast

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- IU Southeast junior Garrett Fensler picked up the final RSC Men's Tennis Player of the Week award of the year for his play April 15-22. He won at the top of the singles and doubles lineups to close out the conference regular season with a key victory for the Grenadiers.

Fensler, from Lapel, Ind., won at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in an 8-1 victory over IU East, which gave IU Southeast a 4-1 RSC record in the regular-season finale. He won clutch matches by scores of 7-6 (5), 6-2 in singles and 8-6 in doubles.

IU Southeast is 10-9 on the year and will take the No. 2 seed in the upcoming RSC Men's Tennis Championship April 26-27 in Mason, Ohio.
